How to help
Our school relies on participation from all of our families, and it is a great way to meet new friends and to learn about our school.
There are a wide variety of ways to get involved, from serving on our Executive Board, volunteering on a committee, helping out at our annual fundraiser (Pumpkinfest), being a Parent Representative for your child’s class, donating items for the classroom, or coming in to read or transcribe children’s stories in the classroom.
Several of the positions involve work done in the evening or by email or phone, while others involve helping out at a specific event, or in the classroom. You can choose a short term commitment or one that involves more time such as a board position. Your participation is needed to make our program thrive, and we truly appreciate it.
Here are a few ways to get involved…
The Executive Board consists of a President, Vice President, Treasurer, Registrar and Co-Registrar, Fundraising Person, Accounting, and the Director. Each board member serves two years. Parents who serve on the board will receive 1st priority in the Lottery Registration. We hope you might consider being part of this rewarding board experience.
Each of the classrooms has a Parent Representative that attends the General Board meetings in order to help improve communication and broaden family involvement.
